Getting to SMRS Exhibition

Getting to Barton Peveril College

By Car:

Barton Peveril College is about   1.5 miles from M3 Junction 13 or M27 Junction 5 and will be AA signed from the junctions.
Please use SO50 5BX for SatNav.

By Train: Both Eastleigh and Southampton Airport Parkway stations are about a 25 minute walk, or by bus as below.

Please note that due to engineering work at Woking, there are no direct trains between London Waterloo and Eastleigh/Southampton Airport on Sunday 28th January.  Waterloo to Southampton trains are being diverted via the Portsmouth direct line and Fareham.  You will need to change at Southampton Central on to a connecting service or get a Bluestar Route 2 bus from the city centre.

By Bus:

Bluestar Route 2, (Southampton – Eastleigh – Fair Oak) from Eastleigh station, stops in Derby Road near Tennyson Road.  It is a short walk along Tennyson Road to the back entrance to the college. Every 20 minutes on Saturday, half-hourly on Sunday.

Parking…

Despite the additional parking that has been provided at the college in recent years however, we recognise that there will probably still be insufficient spaces at busy times.
To assist with street parking, please note the following:
  • The long lay-by in Chestnut Avenue is free and unrestricted at weekends.
  • Street parking in the roads on the south (Southampton) side of Chestnut Avenue is not subject to restrictions on Saturday or Sunday.
  • Street parking in the roads to the north (Eastleigh town side) of the College is restricted on Saturday, but are mostly unrestricted on Sunday.
  • There is a small free public car park in Chestnut Avenue, on the left hand side a few hundred yards after the junction with Stoneham Lane, about 5 to 10 minutes walk from the College.

As always please park safely and legally.
